Martyrdom of St. Polycarp of Smyrna
A disciple of the Apostle John and bishop of Smyrna was burned at the stake aged 86. His martyrdom account is the oldest authenticated such document outside the New Testament. He famously declared: 'Eighty-six years have I served Him.'
