Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary
The birth of Mary nine months after the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. Celebrated in Jerusalem since the 5th century at the site of the traditional home of Joachim and Anne near the Sheep Pool. Universalised by Pope Sergius I in the 7th century.
