Feast of the Holy Innocents
The infant boys of Bethlehem and its environs killed by Herod in his attempt to destroy the newborn King. Venerated as the first martyrs who died for Christ without knowing Him. Their number is unknown but tradition suggests anywhere from a few dozen to several hundred.
